Being a part of an existing masterplan, the project aims to work as a key stone integrating the overall design of the complex. Situated between the stadium -the main landmark of the complex- and the sports guest houses, the three sports halls in an array undertake the conciliatory and complimentory role in terms of form, character and function. The main interference to the existing masterplan is achieved by creating a direct path from the guest houses’ center court to the stadium. That alternative path is not only creating a comfortable walking path in shadow but also allocating the administrative building from the sports halls and creating positive space in front in an urban character. The main circulation platform around the halls is raised up in order the avoid unnecessary excavation, however this also helps to provide a better protected space against drifting sand. The design form inquires a dynamic yet pure effect which is also appropriate for hot climate. That takes simply to white shell covers which reflect the solar rays and enlarge the roof area for more space in shadow. The form of the shells make use of the repeating, organic elements of the nearby stadium facade and interprets the idea in a distinguished, artistic and rythmic way. Shadow control is strengthened by partially extended roof shells and with wooden shaders on the sides.

St. Petersburg Forum

St. Petersburg Forum is located at Moskovsky District on the south of St. Petersburg. The land plot is situated at the crossing of Moskovsky Avenue and the Obvodny Canal; at the border of the Moskovsky and Central districts. The project is developed as a master plan which aims to integrate the residential quarter at the north of the Obvodny Canal with the southern part of the district by transforming the former industrial area into a new city center. The quantity of public spaces in St. Petersburg is inadequate compared with the new development rate of the city. The public spaces are mostly historical former centers which are important nodes in the city. St. Petersburg Forum is designed to offer a new public space with contemporary architecture.

The site is located in Northern Administrative district of Moscow, along the important city highway - the Leningrad highway. The multi-purpose complex consists of two basic independent parts: a shopping & entertainment center and office center which are joined by a plaza. The other component of the complex consists of a 5 story car parking area and technical constructions. Facades of a multi-purpose complex are solved in modern stylistics. In furnish of facades durable high-quality materials are applied: structural glassing, metal front panels and panels “sandwich” with firm coverings.

Jastar Youth Center

Jastar Youth Center has two main functions; culture and sports for young people of Kazakhstan. These two functions are very different from each other which creates a tension of the programme as; static/dynamic, mind/body, creativity/activity, quite/loud like a ying/yang pattern. When these functions -even though are very different from each other- become one, they become whole and improve mankind. Their physical requirements are also very different than each other, but to build visual links in between various functions will aslo improve the whole experience of the center. So in the circulation pattern we choose to put functions on top of each other with adaquate spaces and void in between to provide the privacy while maintaining the visible link in between.

Krasnodar Terraces is a mixed-use development that houses shopping center, fitness center, high street retail, office block and residence blocks with terraces and roof gardens. The project site is composed of three parcels that are separated by traffic streets. The existing use of the site is open-air market place at the center of the city. The inefficient use of the site and unattractive image is to be replaced by a mixed use center. The existing building is re-designed as a retail center composed of retail units as shops and cafes; in addition to indoor and open-air car parking that would serve to the whole complex. The goal will be to articulate the existing building functionally and architecturally to the general design of the mixed-use development. The second parcel is functionally planned as consisting of residences, shopping center and fitness center. The high-rise blocks are designed as terraced residences which serve as green gardens with the city view. The shopping center is planned with an oval shaped circulation pattern. The roof of the shopping center is designed as green roof with a fitness center. The third parcel is composed of retail units on the ground floor towards the shopping center direction. The upper floors are planned as office and residence units. The terrace typology is continued at the design of the complex. Large glass surfaces for light illumination are located to the south direction.

Anapa Resort Hotel

The land plot is located on the south of Anapa near Black Sea on a sloped hill. The complex is envisioned to be developed as a 5 star resort hotel, congress center and spa on one parcel and bungalows and cottages on the next parcel. Since there exits 12-20 meters level difference between two borders of the land plot, the project is designed to integrate the hotel scheme to the topography of the site. The development idea is to plan the hotel as a resort complex with an extroverted approach composed of independent units as a holiday village; yet functionally operating as a compact hotel for optimum management. The hotel rooms are mainly planned on two blocks which the entrances of the rooms open up to the semi-open green spaces. Thus a green atrium is created at the entrance of the hotel rooms. All rooms are overlooking the sea and all have private terraces for enjoying the sea view. The blocks are interpreted in the shape of the wings sitting on different levels.

TERRACITY SHOPPING MALL

TerraCity is developed as the largest shopping and entertainment centre in Lara, Antalya . The most distinguished feature of the centre is the open terrace area located on the roof including restaurants that will remain open also at night. The required leasable area and the form of the land plot guided the design of the shopping centre with a linear customer flow having atriums at each end. The centre is composed of five retail levels with 48,000 sqm leasable area and three underground parking levels for 1,400 cars. The rectangular land plot, located on the way to Lara, is surrounded by traffic roads with different sizes. Two urban squares are designed at the entrances facing the main road. The underground parking access is planned from two secondary streets on the sides. The service and logistic access is planned from the rear. The site is situated on the way to Lara, a popular tourist destination and high quality residential district. TerraCity became an attraction centre for both local residents and tourist. Terracity integrates into the environment as an interpretation of contemporary Mediterranean Architecture with vivid colors and natural materials. The project as the largest shopping centre in Antalya addresses the lack of large leasable areas required by organized retailers. In addition, the architectural and management features provide a comfortable environment and high quality services. 18 food units including national and international brands are located on the food court area. Total seating capacity is 850 units. Three fine dining restaurants and two cafe-bars are designed on the 3rd level terrace. Open and enclosed seating areas enriched by landscape and special lighting provide a unique experience. The 3rd level will be opened at the end of the year, following the completion of cinema block. The hot water demand of restaurants, hypermarket, cinema,, food court units and staff is obtained from the solar collectors located on the roof. Cooling load of the centre is reduced by the utilization of water heat pump system from the existing underground water. Design of large skylights is avoided considering the climatic condition of Antalya region. 176 shops / 171 of them were leased out and the remaining will be leased out following the completion of cinema block. Main Anchors: Macrocenter(3,300 sqm) / Teknosa (3,300 sqm) / Inditex Brands (3,400 sqm) / M&S (1,400 sqm) / LCW (2,100 sm) Customer visit at the opening month: 900,000 Customer visit at the opening date: 65,000 Terracity received Highly Commended awards in “Mall of the Year” and “Best Retail Destination of The Year” at Retail City Awards, Cityscape Global in 2011.

Our project is located on a site of 118 247 m2 at the Anatolian side of Istanbul, in Tuzla region. The fish market is well defined by its function. Its size and operation is defined by the scale of transaction of sea food products through this facility as wholesales. It is mainly one level big box which is around 16500m2 in one level. It is a big prism sizes 130 m x 170 m x 10 m . Main parts of the building are delivery halls, market hall, auction hall and cold rooms which are connected to the spaces of processing-and-preparation. The hearth of this box is, ''THE MARKET HALL'' where all the sea products are on display for wholesale. Open auction hall where the agents and buyers will use for bidding is also one of the most active and core areas. In front of the entrance there are agency representative offices which are designed as a closed community and have an independent courtyard of their own for recreation.

NUROLPARK

Nurol REIT has planned to realize a mixed-use centre on the land plot of 55,000 m² located on Basın Ekspres Road on the west of Istanbul. Basın Ekspres Road, formerly developed as an industrial area, is planned to become the new Central Bussiness District on the west of Istanbul. The road which connects two main traffic arteries of the city -TEM and E-5 highways- is at the same time one of the main roads that is the connection road to Atatürk International Airport. The distance of the land plot from the city centre and the lack of social infrastructure at the area guided to develop a mixed-use centre that will become an attraction centre for the city dwellers. For this aim, the residential complex is designed to create a “neighborhood” inspired from the urban pattern and spatial diversity concept at the city centre composed of a mixture of low-rise and high-rise structures with equal distribution of density. The design depends on the balance of open and enclosed spaces offering alternative open-air facilities. The buildings that form the neighborhood pattern are planned to be integrated with the pedestrian streets, landscape pattern and urban plazas with varying scales. The project program is planned as zones according to functions. The project with GBA of 280,000 m² is comprised of residences with 100,000 m², offices with 24,000 m², hotel with 9,000 m², retail units with 27,000 m² and sports centre with 3,000 m². The open spaces around the buildings are composed of streets, public squares and green areas. The most important element of this composition is the “Valley” axis that connects Basın Ekpress Road with the secondary street on the east. The “Valley” accompanied with retail units and landscape elements will create a social center that the dwellers would gather together. The residence, office, retail, hotel and sport functions in addition to the priority given to the pedestrian areas will create a lively urban life in Nurol Residential Complex.
